OK…here are the directions for installing a new driver for a PC sent to me by Wacom Support. Otherwise you will lose all of your settings. However, do not forget to open you Wacom Tablet Utilities and back up your current settings, so you will be able to restore them when your new driver is installed.

The recommendation is to uninstall the present driver and install the new one.

Since I have been in touch with Wacom support, I have had many emails describing how to install a new driver. I certainly hope so it has been annoying to say the least…but even so, I still love the Cintiq. Wacom support told me that this driver should fix the issue. In my case, I have been having a strange issue with my Cursor disappearing with the 24″ HD Touch Cintiq. I have just installed them, but it is too early to tell what it changed. New drivers are available at Wacom Support.

If you are using a Cintiq, you only need to disconnect the tablet part, which is usually connected via a USB port on your computer.

As many of you tell me, if your product is working fine, then you probably do not need to update to the latest driver. This is pure speculation on my part, but I think if your product doesn’t support touch, then the newer drivers will give you problems. I prefer it to the older drivers because I use the On-Screen Controls with the Cintiq, and I wanted to use a similar format with the Intuos 5 Touch.īefore I go any further…if I had an Intuos 5 or earlier version without “Touch,” I would not have used the newer driver.

Of course I worried, but I decided to go ahead and give it a try. I wanted to update my Intuos 5 Touch because the older drivers for an Intuos 5 still use the radial menu technology and not the newer On-Screen Controls. My Cintiq and Alienware Area 51 are still in Georgia. I brought my older Alienware Aurora 4 and my Intuos 5 Touch with me. I looked where Wacom keeps its legacy driversfor the older products and I didn’t see any new drivers.īut, I am currently in Mississippi because my sister is ill and I am helping with her care. It's been around 3 hours and I simply do not know what to do anymore and it's very frustrating.Wacom released new drivers for its Cintiq, Intuos Pro, and Intuos (new name for Bamboo) products. I plugged in my old tablet again and even after everything, it still works perfectly? Pen pressure and everything? And I'm just so confused because I thought I deleted the drivers because thy don't show up in programs and features anymore. All that's left is a folder named "Tablet" in C:\Program Files that I have tried deleting SO many times but it keeps telling me that the action cannot be completed because the fie/folder is in use. I didn't know what else to do so I went into the file explorer and deleted everything I could find relating to wacom. I tried installing my new tablet's drivers however it told me that another tablet driver was still on my system. I noticed there was still this "wacomtablet fb plugins" to I uninstalled them as well. After an hour of tweaking around I tried again but this time the program didn't show up in the list of programs so I thought maybe it was gone. First of all when going to the control panel to uninstall, it wouldn't let me saying something like "(folder/file) can't be found please make sure to type it correctly". Hi I have a wacom intuos small (CTL-480) and I've recently upgraded and I want to uninstall ALL of wacom's drivers on my laptop (i'm using a windows 10 system) I've run into so many problems.
